Program Description

Event Details

November is National Novel Writing Month! Every week we will be hosting a Drop Everything and Write session where the Raleigh Library will provide you with time, space, and a supportive environment to focus on your writing. Laptops are available for checkout to use within the library during the event. Pencils and paper will also be available, while supplies last.

We will also be tracking progress on your first draft! Since the goal is to reach 50,000 words in a month, we will have prizes for the highest word count. Prizes will be given at the end of the month for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place writers.

In addition, we'll have writing-centered activities available for the little ones and their families in the Children's Area.*

*Children under 12 must be accompanied by someone 17 or older while visiting the library.
