Come out and grab a backpack full of school supplies donated by the community and the Raleigh Chicks. The whole library will be celebrating back to school with games, activities, and food. There will be tons of things to do for all ages. 

Walk a mile and get a free book! We are going to walk from the library entrance, complete the walking path around the Bert Ferguson community center (approx. 1 mile), and return to the library.

Get ready to move and groove as you step to the beat of your favorite songs! 

Come join the Cherokee Sewing Club!

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for the Explore Memphis finale.  All kinds of fun including stomp rockets, chalk stories and all you can eat Popcorn & Snowcones.  For all ages and no registration is needed.

This 4-part series, Africa in the City, is designed to teach members in the Memphis community about the history and culture of various communities in Africa.

ABC24 and MPL team up to encourage elementary children to read during the summer. Children will engage in fun activities during this journalistic story time.

Get ready to go back to school with the South Branch! Join us for face painting, balloon animals, Mister Softee ice cream, and more! A limited number of free school supply packs will also be available. 

Join the Sigma Lambda Lambda chapter of Omega Psi Phi and the Orange Mound Library for the annual School Supply Give Away! We will have books and backpacks filled with school supplies available for any K-12 students in need of supplies.

We provide the Lego bricks and you make the creations. Come get your build on!

Please join us Saturday afternoons for children's craft time at Cossitt Library. We will have a guided craft, but also will provide supplies for artistic free play. Come get crafty with us!

Did you know that arts and crafts aren't just for kids? Come and join us at Levi as we explore the mind of creativity. Our workshops will help relieve stress and depression, as well as decrease age-related cognitive impairment. 

Dreading the back-to-school blues? We've got the cure! Come join us for our Back-to-School Self-Care Story Time with Jerrika Henderson at the Orange Mound library.

Need help with your phone, laptop, tablet, email, photos, videos, etc.? Come to the library for free one on-one tech support! Our staff member Eddie will be happy to help you out.

Join us every Saturday from 2pm to 4pm to practice reading/speaking English and building new vocabulary in a casual friendly environment. Each attendee is welcome to read a page from the suggested book aloud.

Enjoy the art of self-love, through dancing, with Anjel of Alkeme! "The Sacred Embodiment" workshop will be a splendid day of meditation, yoga and fun movements!

Join us at the East Shelby Library for a movie day every other Saturday from 3-5 PM. What adventures will you experience that day? You'll have to come see the movie to find out!
