The SANKOFA GENEALOGY & HISTORY SOCIETY organized in January 2015. It is an informal group of like-minded genealogy enthusiasts who gather to discuss, share, and learn how to preserve  and document family history.

Teens will come together to showcase their art skills to paint, relax, chat and enjoy themselves!  Registration required! Some of the creations may even end up in our South Branch Community Tweens/Teens Gallery! 

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

For January, A Wider Angle, our monthly film series highlighting independent global cinema, will screen the 2020 drama 200 Meters, written and directed by Palestinian filmmaker Ameen Nayfeh.
