Submissions are now open for Memphis Public Libraries Comic Con Art Contest. If accepted, your comic-themed art will hang in the Benjamin L. Hooks' Goodwyn Art Gallery for the month of May, and will be entered into the art contest. Winners of the art contest will be announced at Memphis Public Libraries Comic Con, which takes place on Saturday, May 31 from 10-3. There will be gift card prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, which have been graciously donated by the Art Center.
Notifications on acceptance will be sent by April 14. Those accepted into the exhibition will receive further instructions on the drop off and pickup procedures leading up to the exhibit. This art exhibit will not showcase artwork depicting sexual imagery or drug/alcohol use.
