Celebrate the decade our library was founded! Step back into the 70s and take a look at what life — and reading — looked like when it all began.

Join us for a fun-filled story time, for ages 3-5. 

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for Storytime.  Share stories and songs and crafts!

This week's theme - Flowers & Flower Gardens

No registration is needed.

Alice Hansen is a Memphis-based violinist, recording artist, and songwriter known for her unique style that blends the virtuosity of her classical upbringing with soaring improvisation.

Fiber arts creators come together and work on your current project!

West Tennessee Therapy Dogs will be bringing one of their licensed therapy dogs for kids to practice reading aloud to and of course, get to pet and play with!

Open Makerspace is a daily drop-in opportunity for teens to explore fiber arts like crochet and embroidery, DIY crafts, nail design art, or test new tools and materials.

Open video lab is a time for teens to explore the space and to experiment with cameras, lights, microphones, backdrops, and editing software. A video lab instructor will be on hand to offer guidance and assistance to teens when needed.

Imagine! Build! Share!  Join us at South each Thursday at 4pm to build amazing Lego creations to be displayed and added to our growing archive of builds!

Children and Tweens will have the ability to utilize the incredible Maker Space we have at Orange Mound. STEM equipment includes a 3D printer, Bee-Bots, Makey Makey's, Sphero Indi's, Snap Circuits, and Sphero Bolt+'s. 

In partnership with the UT Extension Institute of Agriculture, this program teaches children how to build healthy habits by eating a variety of nutritious foods and incorporating physical activity into their daily lifestyle at an early age.

Build English skills in a relaxed, friendly environment, meet other English learners, and practice speaking and listening skills in small groups.

How to Set Goals, Build a Budget and Save

In this interactive workshop, you’ll learn how to set goals based on your values, build a budget that works for you and save for the future.

Join our weekly Zumba fitness class. It's an excellent workout that will allow you to burn calories while having fun. It will also strengthen your muscles and improve flexibility. Please plan to be on time.

Techy Seniors – Phone Basics

Learn the basic functions of smart phones and tablets. Participants will explore settings, and learn the following basic functions:

Sensory Storytime is a welcoming interactive environment designed for sensory seeking children with autism or other sensory integration challenges.

This event is limited to the first 30 children. Please arrive early to secure your spot!
