Grab some ice cream/boba tea at Sugar Ghost and celebrate National Read a Book Day with Cossitt Library - Silent Book Club! 

Looking for a cozy, no-pressure way to enjoy reading and connect with others? Welcome to 'Silent Book Club', where there's no assigned reading, no deadlines, and the party starts as soon as you bring a book you're excited to read.

Whether you're an avid reader, just getting back into books, or simply want a peaceful hour to yourself, you're welcome here - no small talk required! Registration encourage for an estimated headcount but is not required. 

Each Silent Book Club (SBC) meeting includes:

  • 30 minutes - Bring a book, grab a seat, and chat if you'd like
  • 1 hour - Silent reading time (pure bliss)
  • 30 minutes - Connect with others, share recommendation, or keep reading - totally up to you

(SBC) is part of a global community with 300+ chapters around the world. We're excited to bring that spirit to our local library and welcome you to be a part of it.
