For November, our "page-to-screen" book club, I Read That Movie @ the Library, is reading the 2017 nonfiction book Nomadlland: Surviving America in the Twenty-First Century, written by Columbia Journalism School adjunct professor Jessica

A book club for anyone who gets their book recommendations online. Our November book is Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno Garcia.

Readers interested in exploring a variety of genres in new and old books, and making new friends too, are invited to the Officer Geoffrey Redd Library at 11:00 – every “third Tuesday.”  No registration required.

Join us at the Whitehaven Library for a fun exploration of Japanese anime and comics. We'll dive into monthly screenings of popular anime and engage in discussions and activities on manga trends and Japanese culture.

For December, our "page-to-screen" book club, I Read That Movie @ the Library, is reading the 1966 play The Lion in Winter by James Goldman.

Are you a fan of the classics like Astro Boy and Speed Racer? Maybe the Golden Age of the 80s and 90s like Voltron and Dragon Ball Z are more your vibe! Or you may be a part of the new school era of shonen with Naruto and My Hero Academia.
