Program Description

Event Details

Join us this spring for a special new 6-week program that will introduce participants to the latest "fastest growing sport in America," pickleball, combined with a fun curriculum of lessons that players will find valuable both on and off the court. Sessions will take place on newly painted courts in a reserved area of the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library parking lot!

Registration is required for the course, so sign up today!

The sessions planned for the course include:

March 19 -  P: Participation (getting everyone involved in the game!)

March 26 -  I: Impulse Control (knowing when to make the play, and when not to!)

April 2  -     C: Communication (speaking clearly with teammates, opponents, and others!)

April 9  -     K: Kindness (competing in a friendly, respectful way!)

April 16 -    L: Listening (hearing what the other players are saying!)

April 23 -    E: Effort (giving it your all every time!)

(Makeup dates will be added for any weather-related postponements.)

ALSO, the courts will be set up for supervised "open play" from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sundays during the course of the session for all those interested in practicing and learning how to play pickleball. No registration is required for the "open play" so bring anyone interested!
