Join us for a transformative day at the Orange Mound Library on September 28 from 11 AM to 3:30 PM to celebrate the Fall Equinox—a perfect time for new beginnings and balance! Our all-ages event offers a unique blend of wellness activities, literacy programs, and civic engagement opportunities to help you rejuvenate your spirit and community!
Event Highlights:
- 11 AM – 11:30 AM
- Guided Meditation: Start the day with a guided meditation to center your mind and find inner peace. For more information, see here.
- 11:30 AM – 12 PM
- Literacy Mid-South: Join us as we engage in a fun movement and literacy activity - Anatomy of a Voter! Teams will compete to dissect, discuss, and debate what tools are needed to engage in voter participation fully. The session also includes book giveaways while they last!
- 12 PM – 2 PM
- Vision Board Workshop: Tap into your creativity and set your intentions by creating a vision board that reflects your dreams and goals. Participation is limited to 15 people. Please register to attend here.
- 2:30 PM – 3:30 PM
- Sound Bath & Reiki Experience: Experience the soothing effects of a sound bath and reiki session designed to promote healing and relaxation led by Maria of Lucyja Hygge. For more information, see here.
- 11 AM - 3:30 PM
- Empower Orange Mound Voter Registration Drive: Take a moment to register to vote or update your registration with the help of our on-site volunteers.
Refreshments, light snacks, and free books will be provided while supplies last courtesy of Literacy Mid-South!
