Join us for Genre Week -- a fun-filled week celebrating different book genres during Spring Break. Each day highlights a new genre!
🗡️ Tuesday – Fantasy: Magic Wands (2 - 3:30 pm)
Step into the world of fantasy as we craft our own magic wands! Inspired by famous magical books, kids & tweens will design and decorate their own unique wands using paint, beads, and glitter. Whether you're a wizard, a fairy, or a mystical adventurer, your wand will be one-of-a-kind!
🔍 Wednesday – Mystery: Find the Book Thief (2 - 3:30 pm)
Put on your detective hat for a mystery scavenger hunt! Follow the clues hidden around the library, solve puzzles, and piece together the mystery before time runs out. Will you uncover the secret? This activity will put your problem-solving skills to the test!
📖 Thursday – Tween Book Club (4 - 5:30 pm)
Join us for our regular tween book club! This week, we'll be reading A Good Night for Ghosts by Mary Pope Osbourne. No need to finish a book beforehand—just bring your love for reading!
👽 Friday – Sci-Fi: Out of this World (2 - 3:30 pm)
Get ready to mix, stretch, and swirl your own galactic slime in this hands-on science experiment! Using glowing colors, glitter, and space-inspired ingredients, we’ll create alien ooze that’s straight out of another world. Learn the science behind slime while imagining what strange substances might exist on distant planets. Is it stardust? Meteor goo? Only you can decide!
Come for one day or all four—adventure awaits at the library!
Children under the age of seven will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian during each event.
