Join us for a celebration of all things fantasy at the Cordova Library, featuring a special fantasy-themed Storytime, local artists and vendors, demonstrations by Memphis Armored Fight Club, a costume contest, crafts, games, and more! At 1pm, watch a live virtual Q&A with New York Times-bestselling author, Naomi Novik.
"Naomi Novik is the acclaimed New York Times-bestselling author of the Nebula Award-winning novel Uprooted, Spinning Silver, the Scholomance Trilogy, and the nine-volume Temeraire series. She is also a founder of the Organization for Transformative Works and Archive of Our Own. An avid reader of fantasy literature since age six, when she first made her way through The Lord of the Rings, Naomi Novik is also a history buff with a particular interest in the Napoleonic era and a fondness for the work of Patrick O’Brian and Jane Austen.... Her New York Times Bestseller The Golden Enclaves is the third of the Scholomance trilogy. The series, which includes The Last Graduate and A Deadly Education, describes a school bursting with magic like you’ve never seen before, and a heroine for the ages—a character so sharply realized and so richly nuanced that she will live on in hearts and minds for generations to come."
