Event Details

Join teaching artist John Rutkauskas for this 6-week graphite course exploring abstract mark making, form, and process. This course is designed to help participants let go of specificity and to embrace curiosity and experimentation on paper.

This 6-week course meets on Mondays from 11:00am-1:00pm at Cossitt Library on 6.23, 6.30, 7.7, 7.14, 7.21, and 7.28. Must attend all six sessions.

Abstract Graphite is a FREE course for learners 65+ is offered by Creative Aging in partnership with Memphis Public Libraries and with support from ARTSmemphis, the Tennessee Arts Commission, the National Endowment of the Arts, the Memphis Library Foundation, and the Memphis Public Library- Friends of the Library.
