Event Details

Participants receive an introduction to painting with a pallet knife, learning to embrace an abstract eye and let go of the tightness that can be found using a paintbrush. Participants create original pieces while learning different acrylic and pallet knife techniques.

This 6-session course meets on Thursdays from 1:00 pm-2:30 pm at Randolph Library on 4.10, 4.17, 4.24, 5.1, 5.8, and 5.15. *Must be able to attend all six sessions.

Pallet Knife Painting is a FREE Studio Course for learners 65+ offered by Creative Aging Memphis in partnership with Memphis Public Libraries. This partnership is supported by ArtsMemphis, H.W. Durham Foundation the Thomas W. Briggs Foundation, the Memphis Library Foundation, and the Friends of the Memphis Public Library.
