Program Description
Event Details
Project: Crochet bookmark or simple coaster.
Crochet Skill:
- Intro to materials, holding the hook & yarn, slip knot, chain stitch.
- Session 2: Single crochet + creating a small foundation square or practice swatch.
This workshop combines social-emotional learning (SEL) with the art of crochet to help high school students build focus, resilience, and community. Each session provides a safe, welcoming space where students learn new crochet skills while exploring themes such as mindfulness, patience, problem-solving, and positive self-expression. Students will leave with both handmade creations and practical SEL strategies they can use in daily life.
