Growing your own vegetables is a rewarding way to produce fresh, healthy food while connecting with nature. This class covers the essential steps needed to start a vegetable garden, from choosing a location and preparing soil to planting, watering, and harvesting. Students will gain an understanding of seasonal growing cycles and learn how to avoid common beginner mistakes. By the end of the class, students will be prepared to start and maintain their own productive vegetable garden.

Planning a garden space (in-ground, raised beds, or containers)
Understanding sunlight and site selection
Soil preparation and composting basics
