Program Description

Event Details

Do you identify as a BIPOC and love to read and talk about Manga? Do you want to talk about Manga with other members of the BIPOC community? Are you aged between 13 and 18? If so you may qualify to participate in a research study. This study looks to understand why members of the BIPOC community read Manga, the genres you like, and the emotional connections you have to the medium. Participants will receive $40 compensation for participating. Registration is required for this event as spots are limited. 

To qualify you must: 1. Be a member of the BIPOC community 2. Be a reader of manga 3. Be aged between 13 and 18 and have parental permission

A parental consent form is available for download and required to attend this event. 

This study is conducted under the direction of Dr. Joe Sanchez - City University of New York -Jose.Sanchez2@qc.cuny.edu
