LENA Start Parenting Class

Come to the Orange Mound Library for language-enhanced parenting classes! LENA classes help parents and caregivers better understand early child development, particularly in language and social-emotional development through LENA Research coupled with Nurturing Parenting and Adverse Childhood Experiences Awareness group sessions.

This program helps parents and caregivers of children aged 3 years or younger understand the importance of talking with their children, early brain development, and literacy for early care through back-and-forth conversational turns. The course will be held on Wednesdays from 10-12 pm for 10 weeks, starting September 25th and ending November 20th. Participants are provided childcare, refreshments, 10 books for the child, and a weekly gift card for participating.
