Event Details

Children are invited to join us for a read-along story time and activity to celebrate the annual Juneteenth National Independence Day. It is celebrated on June 19 and is a day to commemorate the anniversary of the announcement of General Order No. 3 by Union Army general Gordon Granger on June 19, 1865, proclaiming freedom for slaves in Texas. Note. Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
