Part 1 of 3 workshops!
Students will learn the basic elements of a screenplay necessary to get the ball rolling on their own original stories, including how to distill the ideas in their head into workable, writable scenes. An introduction to the universal aspects inherent to every single screenplay made today, and how to test the strength of your story along the way. Specific learning objectives include:
- Basic Screenplay Format
- Tension, Stakes, and Conflict - the Essentials of Any Story
- Anatomy of a Scene
- 3-2-1 Script Exercise (Write a 3 page scene with 2 characters in 1 location)
