Join us for The Historic Orange Mound Lectures led by anthropologist, Dr. Charles Williams. Dr. Williams will speak on the different dimensions of Orange Mound’s social infrastructure that act as the foundation for the community and have been the catalysts for its historical achievements. Topics will be covered at the following days and times:

Dr. Williams is the author of African American Life and Culture in Orange Mound: Case Study of a Black Community in Memphis, Tennessee, 1890-1980, an extensive study of the community grounded in decades of research.
