Cultural Heritage Professionals Networking and Genealogy Center Open House

2026 marks the 2-year anniversary of the Orange Mound Library and Genealogy Center. We would like professionals in the cultural heritage industry, from museums and libraries to universities and primary schools, local government, cultural non-profits and more, to visit the Genealogy Center to explore our resources and discover how they might utilize them in the pursuit of cultural heritage preservation and the study of it. This will be a networking opportunity for individuals in the field to make connections and open windows to new collaborative efforts. Lite refreshments will be served, and librarians will be on hand to provide tours of the genealogy center and library. Resources will be available on the history of the historic Melrose building and Orange Mound at large. There will also be a featured speakers and live music to be announced soon. We can't wait to see you there!
