Project: Collaborative crochet blanket for display
Crochet Skill:
- 1: Grannie square basics (joining colors).
- 2: Group project—combine granny squares for a community blanket or wall hanging.
This workshop combines social-emotional learning (SEL) with the art of crochet to help high school students build focus, resilience, and community. Each session provides a safe, welcoming space where students learn new crochet skills while exploring themes such as mindfulness, patience, problem-solving, and positive self-expression. Students will leave with both handmade creations and practical SEL strategies they can use in daily life.
