Event Details

Watercolor artist Susan Maakestad works with participants to learn watercolor history, varying methods of applying watercolor to paper, and creating their own watercolor paintings.

This 6-week course meets at Benjamin L. Hooks Library on Thursdays from 1:00-3:00 on 6.3, 6.10, 6.17, 6.24, 7.1, and 7.8. Must attend all six sessions.

Watercolor I is a FREE Studio Course for learners 65+ offered by Creative Aging in partnership with the Memphis Public Libraries. This partnership is supported by ArtsMemphis, H.W. Durham Foundation the Thomas W. Briggs Foundation, the Memphis Library Foundation, and the Memphis Public Library-Friends of the Library.
