Join teaching artist Phyllis Boger for this two part workshop series on shibori, which is an ancient Japanese dye technique. Participants will learn the process of creating and dyeing a shibori scarf or necktie by using marbles, clamps, and dye. This class is very messy, so dress accordingly. 

This two part workshop meets Mondays at Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on June 16 and June 23. Participants must attend both sessions. This course is FREE for learners 65+ and is offered by Creative Aging Memphis, in partnership with Memphis Public Libraries. This partnership is supported by ARTSmemphis, H.W. Durham Foundation, the Memphis Library Foundation, and the Friends of the Memphis Public Library.
