Join teaching artist Elaine Blanchard for this 6-week creative writing course. Participants use prompts, timed writing, and critique to explore writing techniques. Participants analyze the components of a good story and work to incorporate learned skills into their own written work.

This 6-week class meets on Wednesdays from 10:30am-12:00pm on 10.8, 10.15, 10. 22, 10.29, 11.5, and 11.12.

Creative Writing is a FREE Studio Course for learners 65+ offered by Creative Aging Memphis in partnership with Memphis Public Libraries. This partnership is supported by ARTSmemphis, the Tennessee Arts Commission, the Assisi Foundation of Memphis, the H.W. Durham Foundation, the Memphis Library Foundation, and the Friends of the Memphis Public Library.
