Join us for an 8-week workshop series focusing on digital literacy and online citizenship offered by writing instructors from the University of Memphis. In the 2020s, the internet is an embedded part of all our lives. As information proliferates, new platforms emerge, and the job market migrates to operating almost entirely online, digital literacy is a skill that has never been more important. Each week we will discuss a different topic, including data privacy and digital security, using online tools ethically and responsibly, using critical analysis to avoid misinformation and scams, navigating the online job market, the basics of professional online communication, and more!
Participation on a computer is required, so bring your own laptop if you have one. A limited number of laptops will be available at each session.
