Overview

CodeCrew and The Memphis Public Libraries, are hosting Designers & Data: Tech Wearables Program powered by Infosys Foundation USA to introduce high school students in grades 7th - 12th to computer science through fashion. This program aims to help students depict how technology merges with fashion and provides students with the hands-on skills required to succeed in this field.

What will participants do?

Participants will learn how to write code using Adafruit Circuit Playground. In addition, participants will also learn some basics about sewing to integrate the circuit into clothing.

Light lunches will be provided thanks to the YMCA Summer Meal program.
 

Dates: Monday, June 24- Friday, July 12, excluding weekends

Time: 11:00am-5:00pm

Location: CLOUD901 Teen Lab, first floor

Showcase Details: Saturday, July 13 from 2pm-4pm at the Central Library Lobby stage, located just outside of CLOUD901. Participants will have a chance to show the work they have completed during the camp.
