Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian art that incorporates dance, acrobatics, martial arts and rhythm. It teaches spatial awareness, balance, focus, cultural appreciation and serves the practitioner in self-defense.
It originated from the Africans enslaved in Brazil who used it to defend themselves while disguising the training as a dance or harmless game.
Today, capoeira is practiced all over the world.
Free and open to the public.
