Event Details

Canvas For A Cause is the Urban Arts Commission's annual fundraising event. UAC has given CLOUD901 Teen Lab 16 tiny canvases (6"x6") for teens to decorate in their own style. Feel free to use paint, crayon, markers or fabric, paper collage, or a mix of everything!

  • One canvas per teen-- give others a chance to create!
  • All completed canvases will be returned to the Urban Arts Commission to be displayed in a group exhibition that is open to the public. Sorry, they cannot be taken home!
  • Can't think of what to design? Think about...
    • Your community.
    • Your hopes for the future.
    • What gives you strength.
    • Things you find healing or calming.
    • Scenes from your favorite story or movie.
    • Activities you enjoy doing.
    • Your favorite colors, plants, foods, animals, places, weather.
    • Your identity, culture, hobbies, and quirks!

 

Your completed canvas will be shown in the Urban Arts Commission Exhibition! Here is how you can see it on display:

  • Submission Deadline: August 20, 2025
  • Event Dates: September 12, 2025 - September 13, 2025
  • Event Times: 6:00 - 9:00 PM on Friday, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturday
  • Location: The Ugly Art Co.located at 635 Madison Ave
