Join us for The Historic Orange Mound Lectures led by anthropologist, Dr. Charles Williams. Dr.

Heather Ogden will discuss how she began writing -- watching YouTube and writing scripts to show to Mom - and the classes, contests and passions that led her to become a published author on her first try.

Students will embark on a crash course into the world of a Comedy TV writer, experiencing what it’s like to work on a shared storyline in a healthy and constructive collaborative environment.

We are excited to host this book club, led by local author Andrea Hardaway! Books are chosen each month by attendees. All genres are welcome, but this group loves nonfiction, inspirational, and must-read books by contemporary black authors.

Are you curious about Dungeons & Dragons but never had the chance to play a game? Look no further! Join our game table and roll some dice at the Randolph Library! 

This class/workshop will focus on dramatic writing culminating to presenting works on stage including poetry, short stories, and prose in a dramatic form.

Interested in turning your concept into reality? This class will explore how to write and script comic books or manga for teens and young adults. Come learn the tips and trick Martheus Wade uses to create his graphic novels and comic books.

Students will learn the basics of screenwriting, including familiarizing themselves with the formatting of a screenplay page and understanding how to take an idea and turn it into a cinematic story.

Fall in love with a new book! In the fall, we all want to cuddle up with a new cozy book, but how will we decide on our favorite?!

Ever find yourself stuck when you're trying to write? Or, maybe, you don't even know how to start? Then please join us for 'The Writer's Block,' a writing club geared towards gathering writers together and getting words down on the page.

You've got an idea for a novel, now what? This class will teach you several methods of plotting, including how to weave themes, characterization, and world building.
