Love playing board games? Want to learn some new ones? Come hang out with us at the Board Game Club at the East Shelby Branch Library! We've got tons of board games to choose from, and we'll teach you a new one every month. 

Walk a mile and get a free book! We are going to walk from the library entrance, complete the walking path around the Bert Ferguson community center (approx. 1 mile), and return to the library.

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.

A beginning Spanish class designed for students that have no familiarity with the language. Registration not necessary and we can start you with our beginners group and work you up to our advanced group.

Teens Writing Club is a writing space for young writers and aspiring authors to be surrounded by and collaborate with other young writers as they work on their own projects.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Mr. Joseph Oliver, of Bluff City Electronics, will come and educate those in attendance on the basics of electrical and electronic repair; to create an independence and culture of being able to fix appliances on their own.
