Curious about poetry? Is it for you? Join us at the Orange Mound Library for The People's Poetry Club, where we prefer poems that speak to you instead of at you.

Join us to for a lively discussion on our book of the month! In May we will discuss James by Percival Everett. Copies are on hold at the checkout desk.

Come hang out at our Book to Screen Media Club! Join us as we watch movies or shows based on popular books and talk about the differences. You don’t have to read the book (but it’s cool if you do)!

Join Library Staff on the third Saturday of each month for a good cuppa, a good book and a good chat.

A book club for anyone who gets their book recommendations online - Instagram. YouTube, TikTok, wherever. Join local Memphis Bookish Creators as we talk about what makes a great Bookish book, our faves and our DNFs!

Join us at the Whitehaven Library for a fun exploration of Japanese anime and comics. We'll dive into monthly screenings of popular anime and engage in discussions and activities on manga trends and Japanese culture. 

Join us for the Raleigh Reads book club! We will meet on the 3rd Tuesday of the month to discuss books as a group. 

Join us in Meeting Room B for Mystery Book Club, on the Fourth Thursday of every month! (November and December meetings will be on the Third Thursday this year)

We are excited to host this book club, led by local author Andrea Hardaway! Books are chosen each month by attendees. All genres are welcome, but this group loves nonfiction, inspirational, and must-read books by contemporary black authors.

For May, our "page-to-screen" book club, I Read That Movie @ the Library, is reading the 1952 romance novel Carol by Patricia Highsmith, originally published as The Price of Salt under the pseudonym Claire Morgan.

Join us every Wednesday this summer from 4:00 to 4:30 PM for our Weekly Reader Club! We will be reading Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

 Join us for a pre-college crash course in seminal black literature! All materials will be provided. No pre-reading or prior knowledge required.

NovelSpeak is a different kind of book club. Rather than everybody reading the same title, we all can share what they have been reading as individuals. It's exciting because participants can discuss what they want.

Join us in the Green Space behind the Orange Mound Library! Relax, touch some grass, and a book too. Outdoor furniture will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
