Event Details
For March, A Wider Angle, our monthly film series highlighting independent global cinema, will screen the 2020 film My Little Sister, written and directed by the Swiss "twin-engine" duo Stéphanie Chuat and Véronique Reymond. The movie was Switzerland's official entry for Best International Feature Film for the 93rd Academy Awards (2021).
Lisa, a brilliant playwright who no longer writes, lives in Switzerland with her family, but she is emotionally still in Berlin, where her twin brother Sven, a prominent stage actor, is battling an aggressive form of leukemia. Lisa does everything in her power to enable Sven to once again take the stage, his true life blood. Jeopardizing her marriage and family, her great concern for her older (by two minutes) brother and true soulmate reignites deep professional longings and triggers her desire to create once again.
In German, French, and English with English subtitles. (Running time 100 minutes)
