Event Details
This program is an organized activity presented by Methodist North Hospital focusing on walking on a designated, safe and usually paved circuit, around a neighborhood landmark, such as the location of Raleigh Branch Library promoting physical health, community connection and mental well-being. The key aspect of this program includes safety, accessibility, convenience, continuous motion and incorporating warm-ups, consistent pacing and cooldowns.
Please wear the right gear. Choose shoes with proper arch support to cushion your feet and absorb shock. Wear comfortable loose-fitting clothes comfortable for all types of weather. You can choose to wear sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses. Also, you can choose to use an activity tracker, app or pedometer. These can be helpful to track your time, distance, heart rate and calories.
