Join us on November 2, 11am-12pm at the Orange Mound Branch for Vinyasa Yoga with Marcella Simien! Although you may know her as the front woman behind the alchemy of Memphis soul and New Orleans funk band Marcella and Her Lovers, Marcella is also certified by the Yoga Alliance as a yoga instructor. “We have to learn to give ourselves the compassion and kindness to slow down. When you give rest to yourself freely...your body can feel it in a deep way,” Marcella says. We can’t wait for her to bring her practice to Orange Mound and hope you will be there too!
Registration for this event is limited to 12 spots. Each attendee will receive a FREE yoga mat in addition to the class. You can register online at the library’s event calendar.
