Program Description

Event Details

Healing Through Writing at Cossitt Library. The Creative Writing and Healing Journey program is designed to help participants use writing as a tool for personal expression, healing, and growth.  The program is designed to allow participants to introspect, process trauma, create space for authenticity and vulnerability, and explore the concepts of purpose, confidence, inspiration, and connection, all while encouraging creation of high-quality written work, some of which may be worthy of publication. The program is not only for "writers," it is for anyone who is interested in processing emotional pain/trauma and healing through the writing process. Over the course of six weeks, participants will engage in various writing exercises, discussions, and collaborative activities aimed at fostering a supportive community and developing confidence in their voices. The program culminates in a final event where participants share their work with invited guests, celebrating their journey and achievements, as well as debrief on the course.
