Ready to own the stage? Join us for Mic Check, a poetry kick-off event at the CLOUD901 Teen Lab on Thursday, December 18th, 3:30pm-6:00pm, hosted by Homegrown Arts!
Mic Check is open to all high school writers, poets, rappers, singers, and performance artists to bring your best! Whether you're dropping a new original piece, performing a favorite song cover, or reading an iconic poem, we want to hear your voice.
Beyond the open mic, you’ll get a chance to hear from a diverse line-up of featured performers and gain valuable insight into performance-based, creative careers. We're also inviting experienced poetry mentors to join the crowd, listen, and share the powerful energy of spoken word.
