The Limits of Perception

April 8-May 13

Wednesdays from 6-7:30 in Meeting Room A

The lines between perception and reality will get a little blurry in The Limits of Perception, a new Lit at the Library course designed to challenge how we understand the world around us. In this six-week course, we will read authors such as John Cheever, Roald Dahl, and Jamaica Kincaid. We’ll also watch some clips from classic television that will grapple with the fundamental questions of what—and how—we truly know. Together, we will investigate the reliability of our senses and the frameworks we use to construct our version of the truth. Join us for a deep dive into the literature of uncertainty and the fascinating search for a stable reality.
