Culinary Creators: Cooking Classes for Teens at Cordova Library!
Calling all aspiring chefs and kitchen adventurers! Get ready to stir up some fun at the Cordova Library with our brand new "Culinary Creators" cooking classes, specially designed for teens (ages 13-18)!
In this mini-lesson on farm-to-table concepts, students will engage in a fun, hands-on activity that connects them to where their food comes from. The lesson will feature our grow bag planter, which students will assemble and get to nurture carrots, green apple cucumbers, borage, parsley, dill, and marigolds.
Our chef will show junior culinary students how to use the vegetables and herbs once they are ripe, as they prepare a small snack together-- a quick pickle and dry ranch mix recipe. This will allow students to experience the whole journey of food—from the ground to the plate.
