In the 1970s and 1980s, American authors produced a wide variety of innovative and influential short fiction. In this six-week course, participants join educator Aaron Brame to examine the groundbreaking work of writers such as Joyce Carol Oates, Raymond Carver, and Sandra Cisneros, including the only short story Toni Morrison ever published. Stories will range in style and theme. Texts will be specially paired to provoke classroom discussion and activity. Come read some great fiction in a stress-free and warm learning community!
