Join teaching artist Elaine Blanchard for this 6-week creative writing course. Participants use prompts, timed writing, and critique to explore writing techniques.

Join Healing Guided Writer, Victoria Johnson as she journeys through language, Lineage, and genealogy at the Orange Mound Library. 

Students will embark on a crash course into the world of a Comedy TV writer, experiencing what it’s like to work on a shared storyline in a healthy and constructive collaborative environment.

If you are a teenager and  looking for a safe place for fun, join us in game activities, including board  games. You will have a great time. 

Wanna make some noise at your library? Come sing your heart out to your favorite song. There will food, prizes and lots of fun.

Join us for a creative music therapy session where teens will collaborate with each other and a board certified music therapist from The STAR Center, Inc. to write and record original songs!

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.

Interested in turning your concept into reality? This class will explore how to write and script comic books or manga for teens and young adults. Come learn the tips and trick Martheus Wade uses to create his graphic novels and comic books.

This workshop will be led by the experts from Memphis Public Libraries’ JobLINC department. This is a unique opportunity for teens 14-18 learn how to build a strong, professional resume—even if you don’t have much work experience yet.
