Celebrate the decade our library was founded! Step back into the 70s and take a look at what life — and reading — looked like when it all began.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Toddlers will enjoy an interactive and engaging storytime that is sure to keep them wanting more! With a focus on early literacy skills, each storytime will include a read-aloud of 2-3 books, movement activities, and more.

Join us on Thursdays from 10:30-11:30 at Randolph Library for Sensory Storytime! Sensory storytime is a welcoming, interactive environment designed for special sensory seeking children with autism or other sensory integration.

West Tennessee Therapy Dogs will be bringing one of their licensed therapy dogs for kids to practice reading aloud to and of course, get to pet and play with!

Join us for a special edition of Story Time featuring the Magnolia Winds Woodwind Quintet from the University of Memphis! Be ready for songs, stories, and movement!

Sensory Storytime is a welcoming, interactive environment designed for sensory-seeking children with autism or other sensory integration challenges.

This event is limited to the first 30 children. Please arrive early to secure your spot!

Connect Crew will be present to share free books and library resources for the students and residents in the Whitehaven community! This event will occur in the parking lot next to Brown Baptist, near the Southland Mall.

📚✨ Join Us for Storytime at Hollywood! Spark your child’s imagination with stories and crafts! 🎶📖 Whether you're a regular or it's your first visit, everyone is welcome to come share the magic of stories!

Future Readers Game Night is a monthly, drop-in early childhood program for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers. 

Participants will learn: Drum programming fundamentals, groove and tempo selection, basic chord progressions, bassline writing, arrangement (intro/verse/hook/bridge), and exporting files for collaboration.

Raleigh Chicks/Roosters Presents: Mynd Kraft Lego Designs. Join us for a relaxed afternoon of LEGO building and fun vibes. Grab some LEGOs and see where your imagination takes you.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for an International Storytime celebrating the culture and country of Pakistan.  Share music, stories, food, crafts and fun.

For all ages and no registration is needed.

Do you love reading AND doggies? Come and read to a sweet, friendly pup and practice your reading skills! Join us every third Saturday at the Central Library in the Children's story time room from 11 - 1pm.
