You've got an idea for a novel, now what? This class will teach you several methods of plotting, including how to weave themes, characterization, and world building. 

Calling all teens who love a good scare or a heart-pounding thriller! In this special library program, you’ll choose a mystery book without seeing the cover, title, or author.

Techy Seniors – Phone Basics

Learn the basic functions of smart phones and tablets. Participants will explore settings, and learn the following basic functions:

If you shake your head, stomp, or pat your feet, clap your hands, or move your body in some fashion to a beat in a favorite song, you have rhythm ,  this program is for you.

Students will learn the basics of screenwriting, including familiarizing themselves with the formatting of a screenplay page and understanding how to take an idea and turn it into a cinematic story.

Connect Crew will be present to share free books and library resources for the students in the Whitehaven community! This will occur in the parking lot next to Brown Baptist, near the Southland Mall.

Rookie Moves is a casual chess hour for players of all levels and ages. Chess boards are provided.

Calling all gamers! Flex your skills and go head-to-head with other gamers at Raleigh's Nintendo Switch Game Night. We'll have the classics if you're feeling nostalgic, as well as some newer fan favorites.

The Raleigh Community Photography Club is a monthly meet-up designed to connect aspiring and experienced photographers of all ages through themed photo challenges, skill-building sessions, and community-focused storytelling.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Fantasy Faire at the Cordova Library! Partake in a fantastical afternoon, full of crafts, games, food, and more! 

So you've watched every classic sitcom and think you can quote every line, huh? Well we're willing to challenge that assumption. Come and play a few fun rounds of Sitcom Trivia with us! Light snacks and beverages will be provided. 

Every third Saturday, customers of all ages will get to watch a movie and enjoy popcorn and beverages. Please join us if you are interested, and make sure to spread the word!

Come along to learn great new moves while exercising and having a great time while dancing! It'll help stimulate your mind and improve your body tone.

Students will embark on a crash course into the world of a Comedy TV writer, experiencing what it’s like to work on a shared storyline in a healthy and constructive collaborative environment.

Joseph Oliver and a variety of skilled professionals conduct weekly classes with customers participating in hands-on repair and learning exercises. Participants will be exposed to the basics of electricity and electronics theory and repair.
