Join us for a fun aerobics class with Ms. Linda Epps. It's a great way to have fun exercising while allowing you to stretch, and improve flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness. 

A beginning Spanish class designed for students that have no familiarity with the language. Registration not necessary and we can start you with our beginners group and work you up to our advanced group.

ESL participants can learn basic Intermediate English through reading and writing.

This five day teen program is designed to explore various topics of diversity, including religion, race, culture, politics, social class, gender and more.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for Baby Storytime.  Share stories and songs and bubbles!  This week's theme is: Choo-choo Train stories!  No registration is needed.

Family story times are a great opportunity for children and caretakers to come together, hear stories, sing songs, and work together on crafts or other activities.

East Shelby Book Lovers Club will meet on Tuesday, July 17, 2024, @ 1:30 pm, in the conference room at East Shelby Branch Library. We will discuss The Paris Wife by Paula McLain. 

Artist Violet Newborn will engage children ages 4 and 5 with recognizing, thinkings and talking about emotions through painting.  Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the program.

Teens Writing Club is a writing space for young writers and aspiring authors to be surrounded by and collaborate with other young writers as they work on their own projects. 

Memphis Fair Housing Center, a division of Memphis Area Legal Services, will hold a free legal advice clinic addressing housing questions.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library to meet local children's author Becky Thomas.  Listen to her read her new book.  Then stay for crafts and snacks.  For ages 5-12 and no registration is needed.

Participate in a yoga experience to stretch the body and soothe the mind.

This 4-part series will take on the natural, visual, non-spoken language with its own distinct grammatical structure. Shape, movements, and location of the hands, facial expressions and body will be utilized for communicating. 

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.

Join us Tuesday evenings for our Pickleball 101 program on our 3 courts in the Benjamin L. Hooks Library parking lot! We have balls and paddles for folks to use, but feel free to bring your own. Beginners are welcome and encouraged.
