The VA Mobile Vet Center will be back in the Central Library parking lot to provide Readjustment Counseling Service for all Veterans who served in a combat zone.

AARP Foundation’s IRS-certified volunteers provide FREE basic income tax return preparation with electronic filing to qualified individuals.

AARP free tax preparation for seniors 60 plus. AARP will assist all, but seniors will be given preference.

This program is meant for writers who need motivation and community encouragement to get writing. Every Tuesday, writers will gather at Crosstown Concourse, 7th floor at the big table, to enjoy the company of other writers and get some work done!

Raleigh Branch will be one of the super sites for free tax preparation starting January 30, 2024, to April 15, 2024.

Below is the schedule.
Tuesday to Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

A beginning Spanish class designed for students that have no familiarity with the language. Registration not necessary and we can start you with our beginners group and work you up to our advanced group.

Enjoy stories, songs, and fun as children ages 0-5 are introduced to the joy-filled world of children’s books. 

This month we will read about some silly stories, listen to some fun songs, and work on different crafts!

Free tax preparation.  First come, first served. Bring all needed documents and identification.

The United Way Free Tax Prep is staffed by IRS-certified volunteers who will prepare and file your taxes. The service is free, secure, and confidential.

Come to our six-week Fabric Collage series hosted by Creative Aging at the Levi Library. Students will explore various fabric textures and patterns to repurpose them into a collage piece.

East Shelby Book Lovers Club will meet on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, @ 1:30 pm, in the conference room at East Shelby Branch Library.

Memphis Fair Housing Center, a division of Memphis Area Legal Services, will hold a free legal advice clinic addressing housing questions.

Pull from a collection of themes (or think of your own) to create eye-catching paper collage art using supplies such as magazines, fabrics, newspapers, discarded books, and more!

Celebrate the first day of Spring with us at the Randolph Library. We will be hosting a spring themed paint and sip for teens from 3:30 to 5:00pm. We'll provide the supplies, soda/sparkling water, music and snacks.

Join us this spring for a special new 6-week program that will introduce participants to the latest "fastest growing sport in America," pickleball, combined with a fun curriculum of lessons that players will find valuable both on and off the court

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.
