Joseph Oliver and a variety of skilled professionals conduct weekly classes with customers participating in hands-on repair and learning exercises. Participants will be exposed to the basics of electricity and electronics theory and repair.

Bring your tablet, laptop, or smart device and receive one-on-one technical assistance in accessing the Library’s digital services.  This is not a formal class and customers receive assistance on a first-come first-served basis.  

A beginning Spanish class designed for students that have no familiarity with the language. Registration not necessary and we can start you with our beginners group and work you up to our advanced group.

Computer Basics is for the very beginner to introduce fundamental concepts and skills related to using computers. The class encompasses keyboarding, mouse skills, internet and email basics among other basic applications.

Join us for a fun aerobics exercise with Ms. Linda Epps. It's a great way to enjoy exercising while allowing you to stretch and improve flexibility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular fitness. 

Techy Seniors – Phone Basics

Learn the basic functions of smart phones and tablets. Participants will explore settings, and learn the following basic functions:

The Safety Awareness Workshop is dedicated to promoting a culture of safety and well-being across all levels of the community.

Come out to Hollywood as we host the JobLINC Career Center of the Library.

Instructor: Douglas Pratt will host a session on how to turn your passion for writing into an ongoing career. You will learn how to network, get published and take advantage of writing opportunities.

This event is aimed at informing, educating, and providing health care resources and health information to seniors.  It is FREE to vendors and participating seniors.  

The Whitehaven Branch Library will host a program, Pop-Up Whitehaven, featuring small businesses and nonprofits from the Memphis area Saturday, July 19, 2025, 11:00am-1:00pm.

Fall in love with a new book! Throughout this series, participants will "date" six romance novels of their choice. On June 12th, we will each check out six books and take them home to start reading.
