Sensory Storytime is a welcoming interactive environment designed for sensory seeking children with autism or other sensory integration challenges.

All ages are welcome at our Family Storytime! Come listen to exciting stories, participate in fun activities, and share a special time together.

Family storytimes are a great opportunity for children and caretakers to come together, hear stories, sing songs, and work together on crafts or other activities.

Please join us for a special storytime with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra! Learn about all the different brass instruments and they music they make. We will then read a story as the brass ensemble plays along.

Do you love reading AND doggies?! Come and read to a sweet, friendly pup and practice your reading skills! Every third Saturday at the Central Library in the Children's story time room from 11 - 1pm.

Every third Saturday, customers of all ages will get to watch a movie and enjoy popcorn and beverages. Please join us if you are interested, and make sure to spread the word!

Children can read to our reading therapy dog Lovie! Children may bring their own books, or they may choose from ones available.

Come join us for a fun-filled adventure as we REad to Lovie, MPL'S very own therapy dog! We’ll be diving into exciting stories with magical characters, thrilling adventures, and lots of laughter.

Free chess tutorials for all ages. Beginners are invited to learn to play, and veterans are welcome to challenge each other to a friendly match of strategy and tactics. For this event we will meet in our main lobby behind the escalators.
