Are you interested in crocheting or knitting? If so, this program is for you. Memphis Yarnworks is hosting a Sit & Stitch session. Please bring your own supplies.  

Family storytimes are a great opportunity for children and caretakers to come together, hear stories, sing songs, and work together on crafts or other activities.

Please join us Saturday afternoons for children's craft time at Cossitt Library. We will have a guided craft, but also will provide supplies for artistic free play. Come get crafty with us!

Rainbow Family Story Time is an inclusive space for all families and will feature stories, songs, crafts, and more!

Enjoy stories, songs, and fun as children ages 3-5 are introduced to the joy-filled world of children’s books. Groups must pre-register.

Watercolor artist Susan Maakestad works with participants to learn watercolor history, varying methods of applying watercolor to paper, and creating their own watercolor paintings.

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.

Stop by the South Branch on the 2nd Monday of each month to try out different ways to paint - from salt painting to finger painting, using puffy paints and more! 

Children get a chance to explore origami, a traditional Japanese art form.  With various folds, brightly-colored squares of paper can be transformed into objects, including animals, flowers, boxes, and more.

Come to the Cordova Branch Library for Paws for Reading with Job, the therapy dog.  Read to Job, he's a good listener.  Do crafts and snacks, too.

Please join us to create for very own artwork. You will be provided with canvas and watercolor. Snacks will also be available

Children are introduced to the art of sewing by making their own stuffed "Wombat."  This fun and easy project is designed for first time sewers, helping them to learn basic hand stiches while expressing their creativity.

Join us for an intro to hand embroidery with our Tween librarian, Marty. Ages 8-17 only. Supplies limited. 

This 4-part class aims to create an immersive and enriching environment through a fusion of art and music healing.
