During this 4-part course, participants will be introduced to the history and essential tools of calligraphy (the art of decorative handwriting). Participants will learn various techniques before completing a personalized keepsake.

Join the Dixon Gallery & Gardens at the South Branch for a great craft! 

Children are introduced to the art of sewing by making their own "Softie".  This fun and easy project is designed for first time sewers, helping them to learn basic hand stiches while expressing their creativitiy.

Participants will discuss concepts and sketch ideas with teaching artist Sarah Nowlin for an original sculpture creation. The sculptures are created with cardboard, foil, wire, masking tape, paper, and various other materials.

Cossitt Library Spring Book Festival and Book Sale on Sat. June 8th from 10am -3pm. The days event will include along with the Book Sale author talks, children's arts and crafts, live music,DJ, Story Time, poetry readings, and more. 

Family storytimes are a great opportunity for children and caretakers to come together, hear stories, sing songs, and work together on crafts or other activities.

Adventures at Hollywood is our kick-off party to our summer reading program! There will be games, face painting, crafts, giveaways, and more! This a family friendly event!

Please join us Saturday afternoons for children's craft time at Cossitt Library. We will have a guided craft, but also will provide supplies for artistic free play. Come get crafty with us!

If you want to learn tips and techniques to create beautiful quilts, this is your class! Join us on Saturdays(May 25, June 1st & 8th.) for a fun, creative and relaxing experience!

Enjoy stories, songs, and fun as children ages 3-5 are introduced to the joy-filled world of children’s books. Groups must pre-register.

Watercolor artist Susan Maakestad works with participants to learn watercolor history, varying methods of applying watercolor to paper, and creating their own watercolor paintings.

The only objective is to put words on paper! Think of this as a NaNoWriMo "write-in," but for those of us who need longer than a year to write a book! Bring a writing project to work on, or start something new. All skill levels welcome.

Stop by the South Branch on the 2nd Monday of each month to try out different ways to paint - from salt painting to finger painting, using puffy paints and more!
