Bring your tablet, laptop, or smart device and receive one-on-one technical assistance in accessing the Library’s digital services.  This is not a formal class and customers receive assistance on a first-come first-served basis.

This class is designed to introduce the basic functions of  Microsoft Word for Office 365 in order to create professional documents, resumes, and any other text documents.  The following skills will be covered:

Canva.com, a free, easy to use online graphic design program, is an excellent tool for creating professional, vibrant digital content, including résumés.  It features hundreds of templates for all kinds of job seekers.

Celebrate International Video Game Day at Randolph Library! Come by after school and join us for a fun afternoon of gaming.

Join us for a hands-on introduction to Canva — a free, beginner-friendly design tool. You'll learn how to create eye-catching graphics using templates, fonts, images, and more. No experience needed!

Come learn and discuss the basics of 3D-printing! Any level of ability is welcome. We'll walk you through some basics and talk about how you can utilize the printer at the Raleigh library for your own projects.

Techy Seniors – Phone Basics

Learn the basic functions of smart phones and tablets. Participants will explore settings, and learn the following basic functions:

Learn how to use artificial intelligence to polish your resume, draft cover letters and practice for interviews. We’ll have live demos with AI tools. No computer skills needed to join this free program! 

Learn the essential tools for transforming your photos from good to great. We’ll cover cropping, exposure adjustments, color correction, and simple retouching techniques using beginner-friendly editing software.
